The Towns County Public Library serves the community in and around Hiawassee, Georgia. This branch went through a $1 million renovation in 2014 and celebrated its grand opening in October of that year. This branch offers a full computer lab, children’s room, and a country style porch with fireplace to serve as a community room for meetings and programs.

The Mountain Regional Library in Young Harris, Georgia, is the oldest of the four branches in the regional library system. Besides serving the community as a full service library, it also serves the Mountain Region as headquarters for the Director and other regional support staff. The facility is going to undergo a $1 million renovation and is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2016.
The Young Harris branch has the largest number of items in its collection of the four branches. Its selection of Adult Fiction is one of the largest in northern Georgia.
